Elijah offered the opening prayer at his party and told Heavenly Father how he went to the Zoo and saw chickens (actually ducks), it was pretty funny. Thanks, Grandpa!! Aaron's dad offered to take Elijah and Elise out all morning to the Zoo and for icecream with our awesome cousins, Koa and Kai, while we set up and finished up making the food.

Jace created all the beautiful decorations, soda bottles full of sand and toys.
She also made a pirate party bag for each kid to take home, AND planned a treasure hunt for the kids, which included games like a coin and ring toss, ending with Elijah fighting a shark (Kai) and finding a treasure chest in the pool. Then everybody jumped in the pool!

I made the food, with the wonderful help of my mother-in-law, Lala and Keisha. I made homemade spaghetti sauce and the girls helped decorate the pizzas. We used fruit from Gramma Noe's yard for the fruit salad, and Aaron's mom chopped all the veggies for the green salad. Plus, I made a big pirate ship cake (box cakes, with homemade buttercream frosting) for the birthday boy! (Thank you FamilyFun for the idea!) All the kids loved the cake.
Thanks to everyone, it was truly a day that Elijah will remember.

Wow you guys threw such a nice party! What a blast! I am here in my apt. typing and my hands are so cold! I have bad circulation but its also been in the teens here so cold!!!!!!!!! Great job on the cute cake! How'd you make the ship?! That's so cool that Elijah can fit the outfit now! haha

I somehow missed this blog....but I was coming to your blog anyways to tell you to UPDATE YOUR BLOG! i feel so disconnected from you! The other day I was taking all of our Christmas cards off the wall, and Damon was helping...he stopped for a second, and I looked over at him. He was standing on a chair staring at your Christmas card....he looked at me with the most sad face you've ever seen and said " I miss her" pointing at elise's beautiful little face. It seriously broke my heart!
I can't believe Elijah is three. Wow! I hope Hawaii is treating you well. We miss you guys! Hope your holidays were lovely and full of joy! xoxo
Okay... I know this was forever ago, but I am not so good at reading blogs anymore. But still I can hardly believe that Elijah is three. What a handsome little boy he is. I hope you guys are doing well. Lots of love from Utah.
