Hilo High Alumni All-Stars...

Some people are surprised that we didn't make it to the beach at all, during our trip home to visit family in Hawaii. In fact, it rained the entire time we were in Hilo and it was super windy in Maui. I'm not complaining at all, I love rain and the way it cleanses and refreshes... This a picture taken of Aaron and his brother Marcus after a very wet alumni soccer game for Hilo High School... Our guys won! Elise had so much fun cheering fo her daddy and uncle Marcus. Aaron made a goal and Marcus played goalie.

The first video is Elise cheerng for her daddy and Uncle Marcus. The second video is a silly, impromptu post game interview the boys took. Here are some of their quotables:

Marcus: So, how was your game today?
Aaron: It brought back a lot of memories... Memories of past glories.

Aaron: So, who won today?
Marcus: I did. I basically saved the game. If I didn't save those balls, they would have been winning.

Aaron: Who's better - K.C. Keller from the US team or you?
Marcus: I think me. Keller's old that's why, they need young people like me.

Jackie, Thank you so much for the wonderful video clips and pictures of the Alumni Soccer Game, Mahealani's cheering and the impromptu sports report, done by Aaron and Marcus.
Marcus hasn't left yet, and I am already missing him. Thanks to your video clip I can at least, hear his voice when I am missing him. The adversary had been working really hard on all of us this past few weeks. I am still not able to taste any of the wonderful food cooked for our meals. Marcus had a high fever and a very bad ear infection. Marcus was struggling a lot with the pain in his ear. After I placed the ear drops in his ear, I as a mother asked Jace to join me in prayer to ask the Lord to comfort Marcus that he would be able to sleep. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers! Today Marcus was able to receive a blessing and is doing much better. I am honored to have sons that are worthy to hold the priesthood. Marcus was able to give me a blessing and you know what, it was as if his hands were as light as a feather, Marcus's words in his blessing was so powerful that I was able to rest the rest of the night. I know that the Lord will bless our family tremendously, as Marcus leaves to serve in the Lord's Vineyard, I know that the Lord will protect him at all times. The Book of Mormon is the Keystone to this wonderful Gospel and Marcus will have an opportunity to touch the hearts of those who are waiting and willing to receive the great message they have to share as ambasssadors of the Lord. I truly love you, Aaron and my wonderful grandchildren.

That is a great blog. I like the post-game interview. How do you do that collage of pictures thing? I really like it, but can't figure out how you make it. It's good to have you back.

marcus is hilarious. our honeymoon to maui was almost the same as your trip: it rained much, but not all, of the time. i am glad you had such a good attitude about it. i cried and complained. that made brig really happy and feel very lucky.
