10 things we love about Aaron...

My husband doesn't like when I write nice things about him to be read by all, but I think it's my priviledge as his wife on his birthday... So here's to our big birthday boy!

10 things we love about Aaron:

1. He's an amazing dad and big kid at heart. Elise and Elijah love the times he'll put on his swim shorts and hop in the tub with them during bathtime.

2. He never tires of Hide and Seek and finds maybe more delight in hiding from the kids than they have in finding him.

3. He tries to out the trash before going to work in the morning. It's rare that he won't have time to do it. And if he's in a rush, he'll apologize! He's so funny.

4. Sometimes he'll bring home dinner, just because. We can usually count on our favorites: sashimi, miso soup or orange chicken. Sometimes, it's so great especially if I'm too tired to make dinner. Even other times, when I have something already made, I think it's sweet. It's great to have leftovers the next day!
5. He makes me feel appreciated through things that he says and the prayers he offers in behalf of our family. He's very affecionate and says he loves us often. I feel pretty because he says I am even though I am the heaviest I've ever been! He's my Johnny. (as in Lingo)

6. He makes me laugh by being silly and goofy - which balances me out when I'm stressed. What does he do that so silly? Welll, he plays beach soccer (with an imaginary ball) with our brother-in-law, Jun. He sometimes sings in his sleep, and says the randomest things. ("You don't like Bon Jovi?") He's has a wonderment for life and it's opportunities, which makes life very full.

7. He'll cover me with blankets if I fall asleep on the couch.

8. I love the way he cooks breakfast. I love breakfast but I am too lazy to make a full-blown breakfast very often. I usually eat oatmeal or scrambled eggs. But when Aaron gets inspired, he goes all out with bacon, eggs, potatoes, or sometimes fried rice.

9. He's impossible to be mad at. We have differing opinions, but we don't really fight. I think it's because of Aaron's nature, because I can be resentful and I know I have a temper if provoked... I fought with one particular companion on my mission, a bunch - I mean, like I saw red a couple of times. That has never happened with Aaron, I think it's because he's so loving, so quick to apologize and so quick to forgive.

10. Even though the list could go on and on, I'll just end with how Christ-like and charitable he is. He has a heart of gold and he is full of the spirit of aloha. He often fixes a plate of food for a homeless person or scounges around for a couple of dollars to share with someone in need. He's always striking up conversations with people and always prays to find people to share the gospel with.

In my moments of needing inspiration, I can always count on Aaron. In the past few weeks I have trully learned the meaning of humility! Aaron helped me to remember the importance of the Atonement and I was able to reflect on the words of my favorite Sacrament Hymn, "In Humility, Our Savior." This hymn has just two verses, yet it means so much to me!
Aaron thanks for being a great example!
Love,
Mom

Beautiful tribute. I love it. I hope Aaron forgives you for bragging about him on the blog. I especially love that he jumps in the tub with the kids. So cute.

What a fabulous tribute to your husband! What a great husband and father he is. I wish you would have asked me to babysit your kids since I still owe you from CJs birthday. You and Aaron will just have to go on another date. Rough, I know. Happy Birthday Aaron!

hey girl...you really are married to such a wonderful guy...What a nice blog about him. I really wish that I was as nice of a person as he is. You are both two of the most genuine people I know. You compliment each other so well and are such amazing examples to me. I hope to be as loving, charitable, Christ-like and humble as you two are. I love you guys - and I was more than happy to babysit for you!

What a sweet tribute to your husband! I need to get to know that guy better. I also didn't remember that you had served a mission, I feel bad! I think it is funny that someone could make you mad. She must have been pretty aggravating! :)
