Our Playdate w/ "Mina" & Heather

The Harrisons and the Browns introduced us to a very special family (Heather, Scott & Pavolina). We've wanted to get together with Heather and Mina all summer, but we kept missing them at playgroup because they travelled a lot home to Iowa.

I was so grateful to have some one-on-one time with Heather for the first time ever. I learned so much about her rich background & experience, as well as about her many artistic talents: photography, her love of Martha Stewart recipes & crafts. She made an amazing grape concord pie that is seriously an artistic masterpiece. Check it out her very insightful blog: This World We Live In.

When they walked in the door, I could not believe my eyes! Mina has grown so much this summer and is easily several inches taller than Elise who is a year older. I know that all kids look like giants next to mine, but Mina really is! I love Mina and Heather's earthy, feminine and artsy style. They have the cutest clothes!

The next night, Mina came over to play so that Heather and Scott could shop and have some time to themselves. The kids went "swimming" in our bathtub - one of their favorite past times!

Mina is such a sweet girl, so happy and content to entertain herself. They kids love to laugh and play with her!
