Firstborn Son, A Winter Wedding & Tai Chi

My sisters have some monumental things happening in their lives and I just wanted to record and share the good news! My sister just 18 months younger than me, Vickie and her husband, Jun found out last week that they are having a little boy due on Feb. 14th 2009. So exciting! My other sis, Liz is getting MARRIED! And soon, in January! She and her fiance, Ryan Jones are both extremely artistic and adventurous - they love to camp and hike so their dream wedding is a winter one on Antelope Island in Utah.

This ring was designed by Ryan. The metal is folded with an ancient Japanese technique 'mokume gane' that resembles wood grain and the stones, are their birthstones (Ruby & Sapphire) which are derived from the same family but on opposite ends of the spectrum.

My youngest sister, Connie is sporting a fresh, short and fabulous hairsyle. She is currently teaching children English in Taiwan, learning the art of Tai Chi, and seeing a part of the world I find beautiful and fasicnating. Her adventures are recorded on her blog, Into the World.
